Eric Couch, Chief Servant at Dallas insurance marketing organization (IMO) ProVision Brokerage LLC, is pleased to announce the firm has become a Dallas 100 Award winner 2 years in a row. Winning in 2020 and now 2021, the awards highlight the IMO's continued success even in a challenging economy.
The Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at SMU Cox School of Business presents the Dallas 100 annually to the Dallas-Fort Worth area's top 100 fastest-growing private businesses, based on percentage growth and absolute dollar growth over the past three years. This year, all 100 recipients together generated a combined "over $8.5 billion in revenue over the past three years," according to a press release from SMU Cox.
"Despite the Global Pandemic, we are proud to announce that ProVision Brokerage is among the 100 fastest-growing, most dynamic, privately-held companies in the Dallas area," said Couch in a Facebook statement.
Eric Couch is a Forbes Finance Council member, bestselling author, and award-winning speaker who shared his message on the same stage as Lord Nigel Farage at the London Stock Exchange, and as Ice-T & Coco, Martha Stewart, and Michael E. Gerber (New York Times bestselling author of The E-Myth books) at Carnegie Hall, where he's also performed numerous times as a singer.
With the Dallas 100's motif of celebrating local economic contribution, it's appropriate that ProVision functions as a "financial servant" to the public. Couch's mission and aim are to help individuals and families retire safe & secure, even in turbulent economies. For over 20 years in the retirement planning business, he has specialized in annuities—or more specifically, built a national network of financial advisors focusing exclusively on products he calls "Safe Money."
In one of his speaking appearances, Eric Couch explained that "Safe Money is the money you can't afford to lose, clean and simple.
"I only work with products that are defined by the federal government as having zero market risk, guaranteed. That means you legally cannot lose a penny based on market losses—and again, it's 100% guaranteed! Obviously, you'll never hear about this on Wall Street, yet we've helped tens of thousands of people lock out losses while guaranteeing their retirement income.
"As you approach and enter retirement, most can't continue to take the same risk as they did in their earning years. You just don't have the time to bounce back from those major losses. At this point, you need guarantees—or as Will Rogers said, 'I'm more interested in the return of my money than the return on my money'—because it's not a matter of if, but when the market's going to turn."
Couch recounts an experience with one of his clients: "I met Ken back in 2010. He and his wife, Vicky, were referred to me after their second failed attempt at retirement. They were heartbroken and at their wit's end. As we began our discussion about financial goals and expectations, you could immediately feel the room full of anxiety.
"As their voices changed, as their bodies tensed, Ken told me they had sacrificed everything for most of their marriage. They didn't travel extravagantly; they only bought used cars! They kept their heads down, busting their tail. But sadly, the market—she's a wicked mistress, promising riches and gold, but instead delivering blow after blow, ultimately knocking them to their knees.
"Now, I wish this was an isolated event. But the reality is, so many were impacted by the economic meltdown of 2008 and 2009. If that's not heartbreaking enough, back in 2001 they had actually planned to retire early—but many of you remember, the bubble burst, and much of America was crippled by that event. About the time Ken and Vicky were recovering from 2001, it happened all over again, sending them into a tailspin."
"By the time I left, we had worked through the numbers at 7% guaranteed annually, with no more risk. They were able to retire in 3.5 years.
"Let me tell you: hope was restored. The tears stolen by the market were replaced with some tears of joy. And I'm grateful for Ken and Vicky. I'm grateful that I've been able to be a resource for them and so many others because you never know what the future holds."
It's clear from this story with Ken and Vicky that ProVision Brokerage's continuing success comes from its business model: entirely and purely customer-centric. Eric Couch runs the firm with his wife, Catherine, from the place that their work is "not a job or career, but a calling."
